Arhythmias

Abstract

Within the multiple possibilities of meaning connected to rhythm, the concept of arrhythmia underlines the will to apprehend not so much its regularity, which establishes it as a device, but also the faculty of rupture, of improvisation, of internal regeneration as a figural matrix which presides expressive phenomena. At the same time, arrhythmias account for the crucial role within the diverse forms of representation and relation with its receivers, of  betrayed expectations, of suspended passions, of foreseen and even denied meaning.
