In this context, the creation of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) and the subsequent publication of the IFRS S1 (General Requirements for Disclosure of Sustainability-Related Financial Information) and IFRS S2 (Climate-Related Disclosures) standards represent a significant advance. Brazil stands out for its pioneering role in the adoption of these international standards, evidenced by CVM Resolution 193 and CFC Resolution No. 1,710, which establish mandatory disclosures as of 2026. This initiative positions the country at the forefront of global sustainability reporting regulations. In parallel, the article addresses the crucial role of green bonds as financing mechanisms for projects with positive environmental impact, such as water infrastructure. However, challenges related to the transparency and effectiveness of these instruments are highlighted, highlighting the indispensability of green accounting for the independent measurement and verification of results. The integration of sustainability into accounting practices, together with the promotion of international collaborative research, is currently presented as fundamental for the development of a more resilient and equitable economy.
Ticiane Lima dos Santos Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Científica Cintec https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas-anterior.pucsp.br/index.php/cintec/article/view/72960 Fri, 02 May 2025 00:00:00 -0300 Innovation in Organizational Performance Assessment https://revistas-anterior.pucsp.br/index.php/cintec/article/view/69955
Main Objective of the Research: This study aims to assess the applicability of the Stra.Tech.Man Scorecard model in an agro-industrial cooperative to optimize control processes and organizational decision-making by integrating strategy, technology, and management dimensions.

Diagnosis of the Problem and/or Opportunity: In the context of current digital transformation and globalization, accounting emerges as a crucial strategic partner.

Fernando Rodrigo de Souza Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Científica Cintec https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas-anterior.pucsp.br/index.php/cintec/article/view/72167 Fri, 02 May 2025 00:00:00 -0300 Information Quality in the Perception of Stakeholders in Retail Companies in Brazil https://revistas-anterior.pucsp.br/index.php/cintec/article/view/70318
Research Objective: The objective of this article is to discuss the importance of the quality of accounting information for market efficiency and highlight how transparency in accounting information is crucial for the confidence of investors and other stakeholders.

Diagnosis of the problem and/or opportunity: The quality of accounting information directly influences informed decision-making and the stability of the financial market, and therefore, transparency of information is important.

Methodology/Approach: A survey methodology and Likert scale were used to explore stakeholders' perceptions of the clarity and quality of Brazilian retail companies' financial statements. Results/Application: The results showed that experienced and more highly trained professionals tended to positively evaluate the quality of explanatory notes, while younger and less experienced participants were more critical.

Contributions: The research is relevant given recent challenges in the Brazilian retail sector, such as fraud scandals and governance issues. The findings can help companies improve disclosure practices, promoting transparency and trust in the financial market.
Jad Marcela Bitu Soares, Roberto Fully Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Científica Cintec https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas-anterior.pucsp.br/index.php/cintec/article/view/70318 Fri, 02 May 2025 00:00:00 -0300 The influence of tax incentives in the Manaus Free Trade Zone on regional development https://revistas-anterior.pucsp.br/index.php/cintec/article/view/72970
Main research objective: This study aimed to analyze the evolution of socioeconomic indicators such as the Human Development Index (HDI), employment rate, per capita income, and educational attainment over time, correlating them with the implementation and consolidation of the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM).

Problem diagnosis: The Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM) was created by Law No. 3,173 of June 6, 1957, with the aim of fostering economic growth in the northern region of Brazil, especially in Manaus and surrounding areas. However, with the tax reform, the future of exemptions is being discussed.

Methodology/approach: The methodology adopted was quantitative and qualitative, combining the assessment of socioeconomic data with research into the historical, fiscal, and bureaucratic elements related to the ZFM. Data on HDI, employment rate, per capita income, educational attainment, and income distribution were collected in Manaus and the state of Amazonas, based on sources such as the IBGE and UNDP.

Results/Application: The results indicate significant improvements, such as increased per capita income, a rise in the HDI, and the formalization of the local labor market. However, the data also highlight the regional economy's dependence on tax benefits, as well as the persistence of challenges such as income concentration, environmental impacts, and a lack of productive diversification.

Contributions: The research contributes to the critical evaluation of regional development policies, being useful for public administrators, policymakers, and researchers interested in the economic and social sustainability of the Amazon.
Maiara Carvalho Osório, Giselle Nicomedes Johonson, Inocencio da Silva Mota; Fernando de Almeida Santos Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Científica Cintec https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas-anterior.pucsp.br/index.php/cintec/article/view/72970 Fri, 02 May 2025 00:00:00 -0300 Editorial 5 https://revistas-anterior.pucsp.br/index.php/cintec/article/view/72959 Sérgio de Iudícibus Copyright (c) 2025 Revista Científica Cintec https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://revistas-anterior.pucsp.br/index.php/cintec/article/view/72959 Fri, 02 May 2025 00:00:00 -0300
