<p>Spirituality is a broader concept than religion and it is related to transcendence. It is a definition that does not dismember physical and mental aspects.It adds the spiritual aspect, being part of a multidimensionality, and which draws on the current contributions of quantum physics and biology. It is part of the therapeutic itinerary as a perspective for the future and relief of the suffering of individuals, playing a fundamental role in health as a resource to meet the challenges of life. It is a qualitative study aimed at proving or not the belief that people who use health insurance would seek relief for their illnesses only within hegemonic medicine without recourse to alternative and religious treatments through interviews with a group of people with chronic diseases that fall within this belief, in order to know how their spirituality influences their therapeutic itinerary. All interviewees, from the moment they felt sick or after receiving the diagnosis, sought care within the hegemonic medical model. However, several practices of relief and healing were sought by them in parallel to allopathic care. For these people, there is no substitution of the hegemonic medical system, but several therapeutic paths that complement each other. It was noticed that the group interviewed has a therapeutic itinerary, which includes, besides biomedicine, spiritual and religious practices, regardless of the age and type of illness that affects them. Thus, it is important to approach spirituality in primary care, to narrow the medical-sick link, and invest in the training of these professionals, introducing knowledge about complementary therapies, popular practices and the effects of spirituality and religiosity in the process health-disease.</p>Maria Elisa Gonzalez Elisa Gonzalez MansoLeonardo Garcia Góes

<pre>The theme addressed in this article presents an attempt to answer the recurrent questioning of teachers about how to do didactics based on interdisciplinary principles. The subject was addressed in more details in the research conducted during the post-graduate doctorate. Taking the Interdisciplinary research that underpinned the action of the new attitudes, it was possible to institute a didactic transforming to the practice in the classes, dealing with a new pedagogical paradigm for Elementary School in a municipal public school of São Paulo with thirty one students. The model that underpinned this transformation enabled the educational intervention based on dialogue, an interdisciplinary foundation, intensified by the spiral movement in the partnership built between the students and the researcher. Knowledge became significant to all involved and the researcher changed the view on education and practice by performing an educational intervention to raise awareness of the subject.</pre><pre> </pre><pre><strong><br /></strong></pre>Lislayne Carneiro
