10 anos após o falecimento do anarquista e inventor da somaterapia, Roberto Freire, o artigo retoma parte de sua história; sua formação e ruptura com a psiquiatria; o envolvimento com a militância de esquerda; sua descoberta do anarquismo; a perseguição e tortura pela ditadura civil-militar; seu envolvimento com as artes, em especial o teatro e a literatura; seu retorno para a prática terapêutica, após o encontro com o grupo anarquista The Living Theatre, que lhe apresentou o trabalho de Wilhelm Reich. Roberto Freire nos apresentou um jeito libertário singular, tropical, e nos mostrou a possibilidade de fazer política libertária de uma forma lúdica e prazerosa,

Abstract 10 years after the death of the anarchist and inventor of Somatherapy, Roberto Freire, the article resumes part of his history; the training and rupture with psychiatry; the involvement with left-wing militancy; the discovery of anarchism; the persecution and torture he suffered by the civil-military dictatorship; the involvement with the arts, especially theater and literature; the comeback to therapeutic practice after meeting the anarchist group The Living Theater, which introduced him the work of Wilhelm Reich. Roberto Freire introduced us a singular, tropical anarchist way, and showed us the possibility of making libertarian politics in a playful and pleasurable form, far from the sober political parties.
