Order, sin and will in Saint Augustine

Abstract

This article briefly discusses the notion of order in St. Augustine and how, from this conception, the great Doctor of the Church affirms and emphasizes the omnipotence, goodness and justice of Divine Providence, maintains the perfect order of the universe. Continues discoursing over evil and sin, designed as understanding Augustinian, not as arising from the Creator, but arising from the incompleteness of creature and defection of the human will, respectively. It ends with Augustinian assertion focusing will to good can turn into freedom, which is one of the precious gifts offered by God to men and involving also the human responsibility to the good and evil.
