Decolonial communication
Towards a semantics of ancestral dwelling

The aim of this article is to analyse the complementary pragmatic synergistic relationships of an ancestral dwelling, that is, its epistemic focus is the semantic and systemic balances of self-organised, auto-poetic ecosystems, the fruit of an indigenous semiotic cultivation whose purpose would be the maintenance and preservation of inter-species synergistic exchanges forming co-evolutionary, successional and synergistic environments increasing the complexity of living organisations. This perspective has a triple root – thermodynamic/eco-biological/agro-cultural – which starts from the ancestral management of agroforestry, as observed in Ernst Götsch's Syntropic Farming, and transforms eco-communication into a praxis of complex reflection, i.e. it is based on a semiotic movement (Charles S. Peirce), systemic. Peirce), systemic (Edgar Morin, Ilya Prigogine, Humberto Maturana, Mario Bunge and Jorge Albuquerque Vieira), ecocentric (Malcom Ferdinand and Vandana Shiva) and indigenous (John Mohawk, Airton Krenak, and Davi Kopenawa) movements, and opens up space for understanding that ecosystems produce languages, signs, beauty, information, meanings, exchanges, mediations, interpretations, behaviours, rituals, customs, food, stories, in short, culture (Jo-Ann Archibald, Margareth Kovach, Shawn Wilson, Kathleen Absolon, Linda Tuhiwai Smith).
